Clerk to the Local Governing Bodies

£12-£15 per hour dependent on experience

We are looking to appoint a Local Governing Body Clerk, to support two schools within King Edward VI Academy Trust on a flexible part-time basis. The Clerk will support the Company Secretarial Assistant within a wider professional team. The positions involve working from home, alongside attending daytime and evening meetings, working closely with the allocated schools.
We are looking for a Clerk who has exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as a team, with high attention to detail, discretion, and an understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality. This pivotal role requires proactive engagement, flexibility, professionalism and strong commitment.

Education Projects and Data Manager

As part of the newly established Educational Support & Growth department, the Education Projects and Data Manager will take responsibility for two key areas of work. You will lead on bringing new schools into the Academy Trust and manage the collation and analysis of education data to be reported to Trustees. In addition, you will have the opportunity to tackle a range of other education projects depending on the needs of our schools.

The role will be an exciting challenge for someone seeking to use their project management skills in an educational context. If you are detail focussed, highly organised, and enjoy problem solving, then this could be the role for you. You may have experience managing academy conversions in a MAT, or you may come from another context altogether, but you will have an aptitude for organising complex information, analysing data and building excellent relationships with stakeholders.

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

Site & Building Assistant

Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 2:00pm, Friday 6:30am – 1:30pm

The school is seeking to appoint a full time Site & Building Assistant to join our busy site team starting in January 2020. The successful candidate will show commitment towards the role and the School and be adaptive and flexible in their willingness to work as part of a team to ensure the School runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be expected to be polite, friendly and welcoming, delivering excellent customer care for students, staff and visitors.  Previous school experience would be favourable but not essential.

As part of the site team, you will help maintain the site to provide high standards of safety, security and cleanliness; and be responsive to the daily needs of the School.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Responding to jobs raised on the Helpdesk on a daily basis
  • Ensuring classrooms and equipment are set up, as required
  • Ensuring the School is clean and welcoming at all times
  • Carrying out general maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds
