Your Timetable

In this section we will look at telling the time! We will look at o’clock, half past and quarter past. You will be able to describe your school timetable, what time each of your lesssons start and the time you have your breaks and your lunch!

Do you know any school subjects in French? Check out the video if you need reminding!

Can you remember the days of the week in French? You will definitely need this vocabulary to describe your school timetable!

Les 7 jours de la semaine

The 7 days of the week in case you have forgotten are:
lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche

Have you noticed anything different about how days of the week are written in French compared to English?

They don’t have capital letters! It’s the same for months of the year too – they don’t have capital letters!

janvier, fevrier, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, aout, septembre, octobre, novembre, decembre.
