The Circulatory System

he circulatory system is made up of 3 important elements:

1. Blood – this liquid circulates around your body carrying food, water, oxygen and waste products

2. Blood Vessels – these are the tubes that blood flows through

3. Heart – this vital organ pumps blood through the blood vessels

Without circulation the body cannot function, so it is very important to look after the circulatory system!

Exercise helps the heart to work more efficiently

Eating a healthy diet helps to keep the blood vessels from getting blocked

Avoiding smoking and alcohol puts less stress on the whole system and keeps it healthier.
